House of Pi started with the two of us, a love of beautiful interiors, and a stubborn refusal to accept that a well-made sofa has to cost a small fortune. So we started rescuing them — ex-display models, customer returns and excess stock from premium British makers, given a second life at 50–70% less than retail.
Two of us, one good idea
We're Kat and Jessie — two of us who fell for furniture long before we ever sold it. What started as weekends spent hunting down beautiful pieces turned into a simple mission: make exceptional sofas and armchairs reachable on a normal budget, not just a showroom one.
Straight from premium makers
We work directly with leading UK brands and retailers, taking on the ex-display pieces, returns and excess stock they need to move on. They're the same sofas and armchairs you'd see at full price in a showroom — just without the showroom ticket.
Every piece, one of one
Each one is handpicked and graded for condition. Most are flawless; a few carry small marks from a past life, and we'll always tell you exactly what to expect. When a piece is claimed it's gone for good — so the floor is never the same twice.

You'll find us at Haynes Lane Market, right in the neighbourhood we love. It's where we test every piece ourselves, get to know the people taking them home, and where "come and sit on it" is the whole point.

We started House of Pi because we couldn't stand watching beautiful, barely-used furniture get written off as "imperfect." Every piece on our floor is something we'd happily live with ourselves — and finding each one its second home is still the best part of the job. Come down, sit on a few, and you'll see what we mean.
